Carlos is pictured looking for a cue from his coach or for the smoke from the starters gun. Below is a picture a spilt second after the start. Despite a seemingly disadvantage on lack of hearing and a knee brace Desarden finished 7th with a HHT of 11.91. The event was won by Byrom in an impressive 10.94 [HHT]. Wedl was sixth in 11.75 [HHT].

Devon Radloff is a Craig High School ninth grade athlete who competes in wheelchair races. He also plays on the Mad City Wheelchair basketball team. Radloff is pictured in an exhibition race at the Craig Vs. Sun Prairie dual Meet on Tuesday, April 28. Devon Radloff pictures by Craig Student Nikki Stelzner.

The WIAA approved wheelchair racing as an exhibition for meets this season. According to WIAA Director of Communications Todd Clark, based on feedback and participation, they will continue to work toward it being an official state meet event in 2010.
