Relay Teams Return For More Challenges In '07
One of the many outstanding races of 2006 was the D1 4x8 relay race in the WIAA State Track and Field Meet. Middleton and Waukesha West competed in a closely contested race that Middleton finally won by posting a 9:22.17 to Waukesha West's 9:23.57.
Karlye Wolff of the Wolverines is pictured with Middleton's Brittany Glassburn. Except for graduated senior Meghan Dugan Waukesha West returns three runners [Erica Claas, Laura Koch and Wolff] while Middleton returns all four runners [ Maggie Bollig, Leah Coyle, Glassburn and Tessa Pulvermacher] from their 4x8 relay teams.
In D2 West Salem returns three runners from their D2 Champion 4x8 team while in D3 Fall Creek returns half of its championship 4x8 team.
