Waukesha West outpointed Verona 152-142 to win the ninth annual Janesville Parker Girl's Track and Field Invitational. Beloit Memorial, Franklin, Parker, Merrill, Oak Creek, Verona, Waukesha West and Westosha Central competed in ideal weather at Janesville's Monterey Stadium.
Above Left: Parker sophomore Shelby Demos broke the meet high jump record of 5' 04 set by Brittini Sherrod [Parker, 2000] by jumping 5' 06.00. Above center: Franklin senior Tolu Oyesanya won the 100m dash [12.9, HHT]. Above right: Senior Becca Kitzman of Verona won the shot put [36' 03.75] and the discus [114' 03].
Right: Beloit Memorial senior Alyssa Davis had a busy night as she won the long jump [ 16' 07.25] and then broke her own triple jump record [35' 07.50, 2006] by jumping 36' 11.00.
