4x4 Relay Team Breaks Twenty-Seven Year Old Record
The Red Raiders 4x4 relay team won that event in record time to help Pulaski win the 10 team Pulaski Invitational. Pulaski outpointed De Pere 115.50 to 107 to win their own invitational. The quartet of [L-R] senior Jenna Oskey, ninth grader Deedra Irwin, junior Nicole Bentz and senior Laura Gaffney finished ahead of Seymour [4:12.22] to finish with a 4:09.06 to break a long standing record.
Other winners for Pulaski were: Nicole Benz [ 1600m, 5:23.6], the 4x2 relay team [1:51.56] of Laura Gaffney, Samantha Heezen, Brenda Rosek, and Stephanie Enderby. In the long jump Samantha Heezen won with a jump of 15' 09.50.
In the 800m run at Pulaski three ninth graders took the top three places. Alaina Murphy was first [Seymour, 2:20.36], Deedra Irwin came in second [Pulaski, 2:21.53] and Courtney Castelic finished third [West De Pere, 2:24.85]. Picture by Clay Reisler.
