Whitewater D2 WIAA Regional Meet

Monday, May 21, 2007 At Whitewater High School: Results




Seniors Holly Mathews [L and R] of Whitewater and Laura Miller [Below] of Waterloo were the top two vaulters at the Whitewater Regional Meet. Both vaulters are on the Honor Roll with Mathews clearing 11' 00.00 at the Southern Lakes Conference Meet on May 15 and Miller vaulting 10' 00 at the Waterloo Pirate Invitational on May 3.



Miller is pictured [below center] discussing her next jump with her father Doug Miller who is the head boys track coach and pole vault coach at Waterloo.

Both athletes vaulted 10' 06.00 with Mathews winning on fewer misses.





East Troy junior Becca Buchholtz the defending D2 high jump champion is shown competeting in the long jump [ 3rd, 16' 09] and high jump events. In the picture above she is shown clearing 5' 04.00 to win the high jump. Buchholtz was second in the triple jump [35' 08.75].




Above left: Lake Mills junior Janelle Bagneski is pictured in the long jump. Above center and above right: Whitewater senior Liz Amici in the long jump and triple jump events. Bagneski won the long jump [17' 01.50] while Amici was the triple jump winner [35' 10.25].


Left and above: Senior Jaimi Hoeppner of Lakeside Lutheran has had a season best throw of 41' 03.25.

L-R: Shanai Guilder [Cambridge, 3rd, 36' 01.50], Tiffany Medenwaldt [Lakeside Lutheran, 2nd, 38' 03.75] and Whitewater Regional winner Jaimi Hoeppner [Lakeside Lutheran, 40' 01.25]. Medenwaldt who is a junior at Lakeside Lutheran is on the Honor Roll Top Twenty list in the discus [ 129' 05].
