Waukesha Catholic Memorial's Crusader Invitational

UW-Parkside hosted the Waukesha Memorial Crusader Indoor Invitational on Thursday, March 27. Seventeen teams competed at the Frank Petretti Field House on the campus of UW-Parkside.

Waukesha South scored 84 points to win the meet. Wauwatosa West, Germantown, Waukesha Catholic Memorial and Divine Saviour Holy Angels rounded out the top five schools.

Waukesha South's Jennifer Lehman and Marissa Watkins, Germantown's Kate Lydy, Greenfield's Julie Hebert and Andrea Fenderson of Racine Park all made an impact on the Week 3 Honor Roll lists.

Kate Lydy a senior from Germantown won the 1600m run [5:20.80]. She is pictured on the left and the right. Behind Lydy is Cathy Randle from Wauwatosa West


In the 2007 WIAA D1 State Cross Country Meet Lydy placed second to champion Kelly Bogard of Kimberly. Lydy posted a 14:46.3 to Bogard's 14:41.1.


At the 2007 WIAA STate Track and Field Meet Lydy was second in the D1 1600m event [4:57.91]. Kate Sanft who is a senior at Wausau East this season won the D1 2007 State Title with a time of 4:56.77.

Defending 2007 D1 TJ champion Julie Hebert of Greenfield only took one jump in the triple jump event at the Crusader Invitational. She jumped 37' 08.25 feet to win that event. Hebert is #1 in the Week 3 TJ HR list.

On the right Hebert is shown in the last 20 meters of the 200m dash which she won [26.59].

On the far right Hebert is coming out of the blocks at the start of the 200m race.
