Oregon Dual With McFarland

Junior Katie Duggleby of McFarland had a big night winning the LJ, 100m, 200m, and 400m events. Times were hampered by a strong wind but the athletes enjoyed a rainfree day for a change.

Oregon 800m runner Megan Beers and Katie Duggleby were matched in the 400m and 200m events. Both races were highly competitive. Beers is pictured on the left in the 200m dash while the pictures above and below show Beers and Duggleby in the 400m dash. Duggleby won the 400m in 1:01.98 [HHT] with Beers posting a 1:02.78.


In the 400m race Beers and Duggleby were shoulder to shoulder for most of the race. The runners are shown on the backstretch [right] and coming off the last turn [above]. Beers had quite a workout Tuesday as she posted a 11:45.24 [HHT] to win the 3200m race.
