2008 W/TFA State Indoor Championships: Running Events

|
An early highlight of the 2008 Track and field season took place in the 1600m event at the W/TFA championships. Junior Jami Hill of Onalaska and senior Ashley Beutler of Sugar River ran a classic race that track fans will remember for a long time. Hill pulled away in the last lap to win in 4:54.31 while Beutler posted a 4:55.69 to finish second.

Onalaska's Jami Hill improved upon her Week 3 Honor roll leading time of 5:01.21 with a blazing 4:54.31. Hill was not finished for the night as she ran to another first in the 800m event [see below]. |

Jami Hill from Onalaska won the 800m event [2:22.53]. She was followed by Diedre Dillman [2:24.65] from Prairie du Chien and Haley Moeller [2:25.79] of Sevastopol.
