Lacey Craker Sets Thunderbird School Record In Discus Event


Senior Lacey Craker from Baraboo set a school and stadium record in the discus at the D1 Holmen Regional Track and Field Meet on Tuesday, May 26 with a throw of 137' 08.

Craker has been consistent all year in the shot and discus events. She set a Northern Badger Conference Record in the shot put on May 19 with a throw of 41' 01.50.

At the 2008 State Meet Craker was second in the D1 discus [137' 05] and 5th in the SP [40' 08].



Cadott Hurdler Sets Record At Gilman Regional

Cadott sophomore Sydney Stephens posted a 17.10 in the 100m HH to break the Regional Meet Record of 17.41 at the Gilman D3 Regional on Tuesday, May 26. The old record was held by Courtney Baker from Bruce. Baker set that record in 2006.




Cornell Duo Break Record In PV At Gilman Regional

Cornell senior pole vaulters Emily Erickson and Jennifer Toutant both surpassed the old PV record of 7' 09 set by Cathy Feldkamp from Gilman in 2008. Erickson now holds the record after clearing 8' 03 while Toutant was second with a vault of 8' 00.




Owen-Withee's Rachel Wells Sets Records At Gilman Regional

Rachel Wells a junior at Owen-Withee set two Regional Meet Records at the D3 Gilman Regional held on Tuesday, May 26. Wells recorded a 5:36.10 to break the old record of 5:53.18 set by Molly Osuldsen of Bruce in 2008. Then Wells ran to a 12:42.75 clocking in the 3200m to break Osuldsen's record of 12:46.67 set in 2008.




Maya Vazquez 'Resets' 200m School Record

Junior Maya Vazquez set the Arcadia school record inthe 200m dash on May 12 at Arcadia's Fredrickson Invite when she posted a 25.50. On May 29 at the Boscobel D2 Sectional she broke her own school record by recording a 24.97 in the 200m dash.



Franklin High Jumper Ties Stadium Record At WISCO

At the D1 Wisconsin Lutheran Sectional held on Friday, May 29, Franklin senior Katelyn Northey tied the stadium high jump record by jumping 5' 04. She now shares the record with Alyssa Leonard from Whitnall who jumped 5' 04 in 2003.



Emily Worden Sets School Record in Triple Jump

la Crosse Logan Senior Emily Worden set the Rangers school record in the TJ with a distance of 38' 04.50 at the Madison Memorial Sectional on Friday, May 29.



Mukwonago 4x8 Sets Stadium Record At WISCO

Mukwonago is the defending D1 4x8 champion. The foursome of Monica Whitehouse, Cassie McCarther, Jessica Joecks, and Blair Doney posted a 8:36.31 on Friday, May 29 at the Wisconsin Lutheran Sectional to break the WISCO Stadium Record of 9:38.63 set by Mukwonago in 2007.



Wausau Newman Catholic Sets School Record In The 4x2

The Newman 4x2 was clocked in 1:45.57 at the D3 Sectional at Marathon on Friday, May 29. This time broke the old school record of 1:47.81 which was set last season.



Jessica Maroszek Continues To Extend The Seymour Discus Record

Seymour junior Jessica Maroszek had set the old school record in the discus with a throw of 158' 03 at the Marinette Triangular on April 28. At the Two Rivers Sectional on Friday, May 29, her throw of 164' 02 established a new Seymour school record inthe discus.



Kayla Simon Breaks Her School Record in The Triple Jump

Senior Kayla Simon from Eau Claire Regis broke her own school record [set at the Gale Ettrick Trempeleau Quadrangular on April 23, 34' 03.00] by jumping 34' 09.00 in the TJ at the Eau Claire City Meet held at Eau Claire North on Tuesday, May 1. On May 29 at the D3 Colfax Sectional she again set a new school record when she jumped 35' 01.50 in the TJ.



Cardinals Reset School Records In 4x2 And 4x4


The Sun Prairie Cardinal 4x2 and 4x4 relay teams set records at Oregon's Tom Mueller Invitatiional held Friday, May 15. The 4x2 team was timed in 1:45.84 to set a meet record while the 4x4 team set a school and meet record with a time of 4:03.84. Those two records were 'reset' on Friday, May 29, at the Burlington Sectional. The 4x2 relay team posted a 1:45.12 while the 4x4 raced to a 4:01.19.
