Meet And School Records Set During April 13-25. Please send the Honor Roll your school or meet record

On Tuesday, April 14, Elizabeth Axell a Wrightstown sophomore tied the school high jump record with a jump of 5' 03 in the Wrightstown Triangular Meet with Valders and St. Marys Central.

The old record had not been matched for 21 years. In 1988 Mary Lamars set the Wrightstown high jump record of 5' 03.

Wrightstown competes in the Olympian Conference with Brillion, Chilton, Hilbert, Manitowoc Lutheran, Mishicot, Reedesville, Roncalli from Manitowoc, Saint Mary Central from Neenah, and Valders.

At the Princeton Invite on Thursday, April 23, Markesan senior Jecel Gerner won the discus with a throw of 127' 10 and the shot put with a distance of 44' 03.50.

The shot put distance was a new school record breaking the old record of 43' 06 Gerner set during the 2008 season.

In the 2008 State Meet Gerner finished third in the SP behind returning athletes defending champion Mary Theisen from Eau Claire Regis and runnerup Kassi Kamps from Belmont. Gerner finished second in the D2 discus event behind Theisan.

At the Oconto Falls - Seymour Dual Meet on Thursday, April 23, junior Jessica Maroszek [L] broke her school record of 149' in the discus with a throw of 156' 00. Maroszek is the defending D1 Discus Champion [2008, 144' 09]. Her toss put her at the top of the HR discuss list. In 2008 Maroszek and her Seymour teammates competed in D1 but this season Seymour is D2.


Mary Theisen [R] is a senior from Eau Claire Regis who was the D2 Discus State Champ in 2008. At the Gale-Ettrick-Trempeleau Triangular on Thursday, April 23, she set a Meet Record by throwing the discus 144' 04.

Kayla Simon, a senior from EC Regis, tied the school record in the triple jump with a distance of 34'3" at the same meet.
