Highlight 400m Race At The MVC Meet At Onalaska Tuesday, May 19, 2009: Mississippi Valley Conference 400m Race |

Onalaska was the site of the 2009 Mississippi Valley Conference Championship Track and Field Meet. Aquinas, Central, and Logan from La Crosse and Holmen, Onlaska, Sparta, and Tomah make up the MV conference. La Crosse Logan won the meet with 157.5 points followed by Onalaska with 156.5 points. Track fans in attendance saw a very competitive 400m dash race which featured some the best runners in Wisconsin at that distance. |

Runners L-R: Photographer Karen King's pictures capture the intensity of this 400m race. On the stagger the runners appear even. Cathryn Helmers, Jami Hill , and Katie Hill approach the home stretch. Helmers was able to hold off the other runners and win with a time of 58.22. Jami Hill was second in 58.45 while Stephanie Henry was third in 58.50. |
