Above right [L-R]: Lauren Holtz [Homestead, 6th, 2:26.02], Jamie Burr [Onalaska, 3rd, 2:22.94], winner Katie Hill [Onalaska, 2:20.29], , Whitney Schumacher [Kimberly, 4th, 2:25.14], and second place finisher Alexis Mikaelian a senior from Racine Prairie [2:20.65]. The race was high competitive with Hill overtaking Mikaelian [below] on the final turn and then hanging on to fight off Mikaelian's surge in the last 50 meters.
Onalaska also has sophomore 800m runners Maddie Hibshman and Jackie Groshek back from their second place 2008 D1 State Meet 4x8 relay team. Track fans will now ponder if Marinette' s 4x8 record set in 1994 will stand for another year.
