Pioneer High School Invitational

Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Pioneer Invite at the Williams Field House at UW-Platteville. Results

Belleville-New Glarus [Sugar River], Boscobel, Darlington, Dodgeville-Mineral Point, Fennimore, Lancaster, Mount Horeb-Barnevald, Platteville, Prairie du Chien, Richland Center, and River Valley competed at the Pioneer meet.

55m dash winner was Morgan Sutter [8.04, left, red jersey] of the Mount Horeb-Barneveld Vikings. Dodge-Points Rachel Pope [above left] was second.


Tinea Reuter of Platteville [above 2nd from right] was third in the 55m dash. In the 55m HH event [below L-R] Krysta Hubl [Boscobel], winner Addie Korb [9.55, Richland Center], Justine Dubel [2nd, Lancaster], and Rachel Pope [3rd, Dodgeville-Mineral Point].

Darlington won the 4x8 relay [10:46.84]. Redbird relay team members were [L-R]: Sierra Wiegel, Amy Jorgenson, Olivia Wedig, and anchor Hanah Miehe. A close finish highlighted the 4x2 relay [below]. Anchors Chelsea Henry from Fennimore and Platteville's Jessica Jentz approach the finish line. In a 'photo-finish' Fennimore won by .09 seconds [1:55.59 to 1:55.68] .

Three jumpers cleared 4' 08. Elizabeth Mathias [Darlington, above center] won the jump-off. Second place went to Mallory Zart [Fennimore, above right] and third place to Ashley Bursveen [Sugar River, above left].
