Twenty-three teams competed at the ninth annual Nelson-Daniels Classic Meet held at the Kachel Center on the campus of UW-Whitewater. Sauk Prairie outpointed Lake Mills 52-44 to win the meet while Lake Mills was a close third with 42 points.

Tia Nowak from East Troy [left] posted a 1:01.84 in the 400m dash to place 2nd. Molly Ellis from Rockford Christian was 1st and set a meet record of 59.90. Above center: Danielle Cushley from Lodi. Above right: Nowak and Kelsey Harms of Whitewater. Eileen Gehring from Edgewood was 3rd and Cassie Wymer from Brodhead was 4th.


Sauk Prairie won the 4x8 relay with a time of 10:55.70 just edging out Monroe. Lodi and Monroe exchanged leads in the early and middle part of the race before anchor Nicole Ballweg put Sauk Prairie ahead for good. Below L-R: Jean Wedwick, Kyle Clifford, Melanie Ramsey, and Nicole Ballweg.






Waukesha Catholic Memorial won the 4x2 relay with a time of 1:53.46. The 4x2 is an exciting relay, especially early in the season. Dani Jozwowski [above right] was the leadoff runner for East Troy in the 4x2.
