'Indees' Cheyenne Gray And 'Wildcats' Tessa Thurs Win Hurdle Events

Above L-R [Finals of the D3 100m HH]: Cheyenne Gray an Independence-Gilmanton junior won the Gold Medal with a 15.49 clocking. Wausau Newman Catholic sophomore Teresa Rock was second [15.57], and ninth grader Tessa Thurs of Edgar was third [15.98]. Rock helped the 'Fighting Cardinals' to a D3 team Championsip. Newman edged Edgar 54- 50.50 to win the team championship. Independence - Gilmanton was third [40.50] and last years champion Whitehalll was fourth.
Saturday's rain made it tough on the athletes although all three athletes above had better times on Saturday than their times in the ideal conditions on Friday. Gray is shown below in the preliminaries. Also shown are Caitlin Thomson [soph, Whitehall, 7th] and Kyrsten Carter [sr, Coleman, 5th].
