Seniors Mary Theisen And Jecel Gerner Win D3 Throwing Events

In the D3 discus event both Jecel Gerner a senior from Markesan and Mary Theisen a senior from Eau Claire Regis had a best throw of 127' 07. Gerner won first place with a better second throw. In the shot put event Theisen had a throw of 44' 08.75 which bettered Gerner's second place throw of 44' 00.50.

Jessica Maroszek [right] a junior from Seymour was second in the D1 shot put event at the 2008 State Meet. This year Seymour is a Division 2 school.

At the 2008 State Meet Maroszek won the D1 discus event. This year she also won that event but as a D2 athlete. Maroszek is nationally ranked in the discus event.
