100m, 200m, and 400m Dash Report

Monday, April 26, 2010. A partial list of dash athletes who have excelled through week 6 of the Honor Roll

When? When is that starter going to shoot the gun? Each meet brings a different tempo to the start process for the dash events. "What is she waiting for?" "Will he be quick on the trigger like the last race?" "What if, what if I jump?" Unlike society that gives some people chance after chance when they break a rule a dash athlete knows that she has one chance. One chance! One and done is the rule that dictates a false start. Dash events and the speed they bring to a track meet generate a special excitement. Everyone wants to know who is the 'fastest kid on the block."

Division 1

Chidera Obasih [above left] a junior from Brookfield Central and Dezerea Bryant [*above right] a junior from Milwaukee Bradley Technical are versatile dash athletes excelling in the 100m, 200m, and 400m events. Obasih holds the State Record in the 200m [23.85] while Bryant holds the State Record in the 100m along with graduated Milwaukee North dash athlete Tasha Allen [11.76].
