2011 Greater Metro Conference Indoor

The Greater Metro Conference consists of D1 schools:

Brookfield Central scored 160 1/2 points to win the Greater Metro Conference Indoor Meet held at West Allis Central's Field House. The Central Lancers were followed by Brookfield East, Sussex Hamilton, and West Allis Nathan Hale. This marked the fourth year in a row that the Lancers from Brookfield Central won the indoor GMC Meet.

Three of the top GMC athletes were out with injuries. Brookfield Central's Chidera Obasih, Hamilton's Danielle Barbian, and Menomonee Falls Mikayla Robertson sat out the meet.

West Allis Nathan Hale athlete Brenna Tomczak [far left , green jersey] had a big night winning the long jump and both the high and low hurdle races. Brookfield Central's Rubie Nordling [left, #3] was second in the HH race.

Right: Brookfield East senior Katie Tolan had a very strong finish as she edged ahead of Claire Gordee to win the 400m dash in 1:02.91.


Senior Hannah Trasser [above, #1] from Brookfield Central won the 1600m run in 5:23.21. She also wonthe 800m run in 2:24.01. Trasser's teammate Elizabeth Flatley [above] finished second in the 1600m run. Flatley and Trasser are pictured below.
The Brookfield East 4x8 relay team [left] edged out city rival Brookfield Central 10:27.18 to 10:27.88.
