|--------| The distance between the two vertical lines on the left is 1/2 of an inch. That was the distance that separated 1st and 2nd in the LJ competition. Seniors Marissa Savitch [Homestead, above right] and Alex Schad [Milwaukee Lutheran, above center] both had outstanding jumps. Savitch jumped 17' 11.50 to 'inch' out Schad's 17' 11.00 jump for first place. Germantown's Bethany Laubenheimer [3rd, 16' 00.50] is pictured above left.
Savitch Breaks North Shore Conference 55m High Hurdle Record

|
Badger recruit Marissa Savitch broke the 55m HH conference record of 8.4 [HHT] set in 1987 by Grafton's Julie Wojcik. Savitch left no doubt about her objective as she blazed to a 8.34 clocking. This also broke her indoor record of 8.38 set in 2010. She is pictured [Above right] grazing hurdle #2. This hurdle was out of alignment by about 2 inches [forward of the other hurdles] which was enough for her to just catch the top of the hurdle. However she powered through that near fall to set the North Shore Conference indoor record in the 55m HH.
