20011 Senior All-Star Spotlight Track & Field Meet

Seniors from Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin competed in the 13th annual Spotlight Meet. The first ten years the meet was held in Iowa at Loras College and Northern Iowa University. The last three years the meet was held at UW-Platteville. Next season the meet will be held in the suburban Chicago area.

Iowa has the 1600 sprint medley relay as a regular part of its meet schedules. Illinois and Wisconsin have the 1600m medley relay in relay meets only. Above: Jaime Ludwigson [Bloomer] running the first 200m leg of the medley relay hands off to Briana Dunkleberger [Lake Mills]. Independence-Gilmanton's Bria Halama [below left] ran the 400m leg of the medley while Kayla Diffee [below right, Madison La Follette] ran the final 800m leg. The team Wisconsin Medley Relay won with a 4:12.90.

Above: Madison East's Alex Douglas [above right] was the Team Wisconsin anchor in the 4x100m Hurdle Shuttle Relay. Team Wisconsin finished second to Team Iowa in the event. The Iowa anchor is Khanishah Williams [above left, Burlington, IA] who was the Iowa 4A 100m HH Champion [14.93]. The Iowa State Meet was held at Drake Stadium May 19-21.
