Beloit Memorial, Janesville Craig , Madison East, Madison La Follette, Madison Memorial, Madison West, Middleton, Janesville Parker, and Verona Area High School competed at the Big Eight Meet hosted by Coach Doug Maughan's Sun Prairie Cardinals. Sun Prairie defended its 2011 title by scoring 125 points with Verona Area, Middleton, and Janesville Craig following in 2-4.

She also posted a time of 1:52.86 in the Wheelchair 400m dash event.
Madison Memorial's Marissa Hoyer [left] won the 200m dash [26.99].
Ashley Bartow [above center] from Verona was 2nd and teammate Lexy Richardson [above right] was 3rd.

Ninth grader Hanna Doctor [left, pictured in the 200m prelims] from Middleton won the 400m long dash in 59.64. Ashley Bartow was 2nd in 59.72.
Madison West runners Olivia Pratt [#1] and Elena Barham had a monopoly on the first two places in the 1600m and 3200m races. Pratt won the 1600m in 5:08.54 while Barham was the 3200m winner in 11:10.81. Also pictured in the 1600m above are Miranda Slaback [Janesville Parker , #6], Josey Stock [Sun Prairie, #3], and Middleton's Jenny Phillips [#8].
