Known Meet Records From Week 5 And 6

Week 5 and Week 6 Meet Records: Janesville Parker, Spooner, Watertown, and Wisconsin Lutheran




On Saturday, April 21, Wisconsin Lutheran High School hosted the Viking Invitational. WISCO has a new track this season and combined with exceptional athletes many Viking Invitational Meet Records were broken. In addition other meet records were broken in weeks 5-6.

The Honor Roll goal is to promote track and field. If you know of meet records that should be included for week 5-6 and future weeks please send that information.


Ambria Avery [left WIAA 2011, above UW-Oshkosh 2012] who is a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran broke the 100m dash record set in 2002 by Becky Knapp [West Allis Hale, 12.64] by posting a 12.55 in the preliminaries and then breaking that record with a time of 12.36 in the finals. Avery also set a new 200m record [25.73] breaking Claire Gordee's [Wauwatosa East] old record of 26.44 set in 2011.

Junior Taylor Corkum [above WIAA 2011, right WIAA 2010] vaulted 11' 00 to break Becky Knapp's [West Allis Hale] record of 10' 03 set in 2002.


The South Milwuakee 4x2 broke Wisconsin Lutheran's 4x2 Viking Invitational record of 1:49.38 by posting a 1:49.13. Relay members were Amber Rapke, Micaela Creighton, Chrissy Barnett [below left at WIAA State Meet-HJ] and Elissa Sievila [below right at Hartford Invitaitonal, 2010].

Senior Karlee Schneiss [above at the Milwaukee Lutheran time trials 2011, left at the State Meet 2011, and right at the East Troy Invitaitonal 2011] from Kettle Moraine Lutheran set a new record of 15.88 inthe 100m HH event at the Viking Invitaitonal.

Michelle Garner had broken the old record of 15.97 set by Rachel Scheibe of Wisconsin Lutheran in 2003 inthe prelimnaries.

However Schneiss broke that record in the finals with a 15.88 clocking.


Michelle Garner [right at the West Allis Nathan Hale Invitational 2012] broke her own facility [45.60, 2011] and Viking Invitational Meet [45.60, 2011] records by racing to a time of 45.54 in the 300m LH event.


Natalie Schudrowitz [left in the 4x8 relay at the West Allis Hale Invitaitonal 2012 and above at the Greater Metro Conference 2012 Indoor Meet] a sophomore at Wauwatosa East set a new record in the 3200m run by breaking Leah Rendflesches 2011 record of 11:29.59.

Schudrowitz posted a 11:14.47 to set the new record.


Senior Sydney Teplay [left at the 2011 State Meet] from D2 Racine St. Catherine's had a discus throw of 126' 05 at the Wisconsin Lutheran Viking Invitational to break Devin Stanford's old record of 121' 04 set in 2010.


Senior Emma Anderson from D3 Shell Lake [above and right at the 2011 WIAA State Meet] set a new 800m record at the Spooner Invitational by posting a time of 2:25.12.


South Milwaukee junior Micaela Creighton [left at Hartford Invitational 2010, above at W/TFA 2012, and right at W/TFA 2011] soared 18' 01.25 to set a new Viking Invitational Record and break Brittany Groth's 2006 record of 17' 04.50.


The Divine Savior Holy Angels 4x1 broke Milwaukee Lutheran's 2010 4x1 record of 51.71 when they ran to a 51.16 clocking at the Viking Invitational at Wisconsin Lutheran. Relay team members above at the GMC Indoor Meet 2012 L-R: Mary Hurrle [GMC Indoor 2012], Sami Leach [WA Hale MONDO Invite 2012], Nubia Lloyd [GMC Indoor 2012], and anchor Ngozi Musa [GMC Indoor 2012].

Molly Seidel [left at the Spartan Invite at Brookfield East 2012] broke her own Watertown Outdoor Invitational record in the 1600m [5:04.64] by running to a time of 5:00.76 at the Watertown Outdoor Invitational.

At the same meet the Neenah 4x4 consisting of Jessica Parker [below left at W-TFA 2012], Alyssa Krueger [below right at WIAA State Meet 2011], Lydia Fahrenkrug [Below at W-TFA 2012], and Courtney Pitts broke Arrowhead's Watertown Stadium Record of 4:05.6h [1999] by posting a 4:03.72.


Senior Kayla Anderson [below left] at the Janesville Parker Girls Invitational] from Verona not only won the 800m run but she broke a long standing record held by former Waukesha West runner Serena Ramsey. Ramsey set the old record of 2:21.3 in 2001

Below: The Verona 4x4 broke a long standing record by racing to a 4:08.07 win at the Janesville Parker Girls Invitational. The old record of 4:09.7 was set by Waukesha West in 2001.

Morgan Johnson [far left at WIAA State Meet 2011] from D2 Spooner won the LJ and set a new record with her distance of 16' 06.00.

This broke the old record set in 2010 of 15' 11 by Jamie Ludwigson of Bloomer.

D2 Cameron raced to a 52.67 in the 4x1 to break Bloomer's old record of 53.01 set in 2010.

The Cameron 4x2 broke another Bloomer record [1:50.98, 2010] by posting a 1:50.55 in the 4x2.

Relay team members of both relays were Molly Brion, Sam Gronski, Jodi Sila [left at WIAA State Meet 2011], and Chloe Wanink.
