Above: Athletes and coaches appreciated the outstanding effort of the athletes and coaches from UW-Whitewater who worked hard to produce a first class meet for the high school athletes. The 'Pit Crew' in the TJ pit is in the running for the 'Pit of the Year' award. Sometimes the smoothness of the surface rivaled a billard table.
UW-Whitewater jumps coach Dennis Rue and his crew spoiled the high school athletes who will soon be jumping into hills, valleys and gravel when they have their outdoor meets.

Jasmine Townsend [Niles West, IL] won the SP with a throw of 38' 00.50. Janesville Craig's Kaylyn Funk [above left] had the same distance but was second on the next longest throw. Defending D1 2011 State Meet discus champion KeKe Burks from Madison La Follette [right] was third [36' 01.00].
Above center: Claire Gordee placed second in the LJ with a distance of 16' 06.75. Verona athlete Lauren O'Brien [above right] won her second field event by jumping 16' 10.50 in the LJ.
