Arrowhead, Germantown, Hamilton, Menomonee Falls,, Milwaukee Madison /Career & Tech Ed / NW, Milwaukee Vincent / Destiny, Oconomowoc, and host Watertown competed in the first step for teams and athletes to get to the WIAA State Meet held at UW-La Crosse on May 31-June 1. The top 4 in each event move on to the Sussex Hamilton Sectional on Thursday, May 23. Arrowhead won the regional with 205 points followed by Menomonee Falls, Germantown and host Watertown.

Mikayla Robertson [above center and right] is a senior from Menomonee Falls who currently has the best TJ mark [38 06.75] on the Week 11 Honor Roll. At the Watertown Regional she broke the stadium record in the TJ.

The old record was held by Sara Thayer [Cedarburg, 2002] and Jenny Ebeling [Wisconsin Lutheran, 2008] who both recorded a distance of 36' 07.50. Robertson soared 37' 07.00 to set a new Watertown Stadium Record.

Second place went to Jade Nolan [above left, 10, Milwaukee Madison-Career & Technical Education-Northwest] who had a best jump of 36' 02.25.

Above left: Leah Fenske a ninth grader from Oconomowoc was 2nd in the HJ [5' 00.]. The HJ was won by Germantown junior Beth Kuske [above center and right] who cleared 5' 01.

Right: LJ winner Aerial Holt [Menomonee Falls, 17' 10.50]. Holt broke a long standing stadium record in the LJ that was set by Latisha Dismukema [Milwaukee Custer, 17' 06.50] in 1997. Nolan also surpassed the old record with her distance of 17' 07.75.


Above and left: Oconomowoc wheelchair athlete Melanie Watson. Watson recorded winning performances in the SP, 100m, 400m, and 800m events. Wheelchair athletes must qualify for State by being in regional and sectional competition.

The Arrowhead 4x1 [not shown] won in 50.06. This set a Stadium Record. The old record of 50.54 was set this season by Wisconsin Lutheran. Arrowhead 4x1 relay runners were: Miranda Winkleman, Jenna Goulet, Caroline Bong, and Vanessa Voss.

The Arrowhead 4x8 won that event by posting a 10:10.31.
