Teams from DePaul, Indiana State, Marquette, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin as well as unattached athletes competed at the Shell.

Left: Indiana State head womens coach Angela Martin is shown with Indiana State freshman Bridget Murphy. Murphy is from Seymour. Coach Martin is also a former Seymour student [Angela Bruecker]. Bruecker had held the D1 300m LH record [43.46] which she set in 1997. Bruecker's record was broken by Milwaukee Riverside's Valerie Thames [43.06] at the 2013 WIAA State Meet. Bruecker competed at Indiana State.

Right: Marquette head coach Bert Rogers is shown taking notes on his athletes at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational. Rogers is a former Janesville Parker track and field athlete who competed at UW-Milwaukee.

Wisconsin's Jim Stinzi head coach for distance and the Badger womens team is a former Menomonee Falls track and field athlete who competed for the Badgers.

Above: Wisconsin's mens team senior Japheth Cato is shown clearing 7' 02.25 to win the HJ. He has made an amazing comeback since rupturing his achilles last April. Cato is a multi-event athlete for the Badgers. This website is dedicated to promoting girls track and field at the high school level but Cato's performance was too good to not share with track fans. Cato's previous PR in the HJ was 6' 11.
