2015 Champions Nadia Williams and Shatara Mitchell are now D1. A basketball injury may sideline Alicia Monson but Meghan Pingel, Mikaela Grant, Tess Keyzers, Kyra Arendt, Brooke Blazei and Brielle Buechler return for 2016.

Changes from 2015: Two D1 teams are now D2, Two D2 teams including 2 State Champion athletes are now D1, five D3 teams are now D2 while four former D2 teams are now D3. Changes.

MG's Gabby Beauvais Is Named 2015 AOY
Monona Grove's Gabby Beauvais who scored 36 points at the 2015 WIAA State Meet and Collin Hofacker of Freedom were named Athletes of the Year. Also, the All-State Track And Field Team was named.

Molly Seidel Wins D1 2015 NCAA XC Title
Former ULS runner Molly Seidel who won the 2015 NCAA D1 10,000m run in June has now won the D1 NCAA XC title. Seidel is a former WIAA D3 XC Champion and holds the WIAA D3 1600m & 3200m records.
 
2016 Season, NCAA D2 Throwers At Winona State University
Kaitlyn Long Sets NCAA D2 Record
Kaitlyn Long [Monona Grove, '14] and Alissa Rausch [Wausau West, '09] continue to excel in the throws. Both athletes have won NCAA D2 Championsips for Winona State University. Kaitlyn Long record in weight throw.

2015 ALL STATE TEAM

The top 6 performances in the finals of the State Meet determine the makeup of the All-State team. WISTCA will announce the Athlete of the Year award after their summer meeting in late July. More at All-State.
