Preseason Workouts

Coach Dan Schettler's Belleville track team is preparing for early season indoor meets at Platteville and Whitewater. Belleville combines with New Glarus for the track season. Above, left to right, are Sara Lazarescu, Andrea Stiklestad, Jordyn Rear, Carly Brown and Ashley Beutler. The Belleville girls finished 2nd in the 2004 WIAA State Cross Country Division 3 Meet. Ashley Beutler is a ninth grader from New Glarus and finished first in the 2004 WIAA Division 3 State Cross Country Meet.




Belleville - New Glarus Track and Field

Belleville and New Glarus are located in the rolling hills of Wisconsin north of Monroe and southwest of Madison. Pictured above is New Glarus. Track athletes from New Glarus travel 8 miles northeast to Belleville high school for practice and meets. Pictured below is the Belleville track. However like most Wisconsin high school track athletes much of the early spring practices are held indoors.



Dana Thompson - Shot and Discus Thrower

Dana Thompson, Belleville junior, shown with throwing coach Jeff Minter. Dana finished second with a throw of 41' 00 in Division 2 behind graduating senior Kayla Schultz of Clinton at the 2004 WIAA State Meet. She also finished 4th in the Division 2 discus with a throw of 127' 00. This is only Dana's second year of competing in track and field.
