Eighth Annual Janesville Parker Viking Invitational

Pushed by outstanding competition senior Jena Berg [above center] of Westosha Central went to to the top of the Honor Roll list in the 100m HH and 300m LH. Berg recorded a 15.2 [HHT] in breaking the meet record of 15.5 set by Anneliese Bauer of Janesville Parker in 2002.

In the 300m LH Berg also set a new record by racing to 45.7 [HHT] breaking Bauer's record of 47.8 set in 2003. Junior Stacey Trzcinski [upper left] of Oak Creek finished 2nd in the 100m HH in 15.5 [HHT] while Merrill junior Amber Brzezinski [upper right] finished 3rd in the 100m HH in 15.7 [HHT] and 2nd in the 300m LH with a time of 47.2 [HHT].

Above is pictured the 100m HH finals. L-R: Brzezinski, Trzcinski, Berg, junior Alyssa Davis of Beloit [4th in 15.9] and ninth grader Shelby Demos of Janesville Parker who was 5th in 16.0. Waukesha West won the meet in which teams from Beloit Memorial, Deerfield, Franklin, Janesville Parker, Merrill, Oak Creek, Verona, and Westosha Central competed.

Above right: In lap 1 of the 800m Kirsten Aarsvold of Verona was the leader. Below are pictured the top two finishers in the 3200m: Laura Koch a junior from Waukesha West was first in 11:35.7 and Cassey Lynn a senior from Merrill was second in 12:03.8.
