Northstar Classic At Waukesha North

Mark Woodford's pictures display some of the excellent competition at Waukesha North's Northstar Classic meet held at North's track. The meet included the 600m and 1000m events.

Above left: [L-R] Katie Hopper of Fond du Lac, Christina Gaspar of Catholic Memorial and Amy Oldenburg of Lakeland in the 100m HH event. Gaspar won the event with a time of 15.82 while Oldenburg came in second.

Above right: Samantha Sonneberg of Waukesha South clearing 11' 06.00 to win the pole vaule event.

Below left: The finish of the 600m [L-R] Molly Woodford of Waukesha South 6th in 1:46.91, Sarah Glunn of Lakeland 5th in 1:45.85, Emily Hansen [purple jersey] of Waukesha North 4th in 1:44.31 and Kari Baltutis of Wisconsin Lutheran 3rd in 1:43.44. The top two finishers [not shown] were Emily Schudrowitz of Tosa East who was 1st in 1:38.37 and Kelsie Birschbach of Wisconsin Lutheran in 2nd with a time of 1:41.91.

Below right: The 1600m [L-R] Julia Novak of Racine Case, Jennifer Duley of Fond du Lac, Sarah Glowacki of Wauwatosa East, Kasey Kallien of Waukesha North and Molly Woodford of Waukesha South. Glowacki of Tosa East won the event in 5:28.33 while Novak came in second in 5:28.63. WI-Track Results.

Left: In the 1000m run Waukesha Catholic Memorial's Jessa Hackman [not pictured] had a great stretch run to win the event in 3:15.67. Laura Koenigs [R] of Waukesha South was second in 3:16.07 while Wisconsin Lutheran's Angie Blasezyk [L] came in third.

Right: The 100m dash [L-R] Jamie Buhk of Manitowoc, junior Akaila Cabell of Racine Case and senior Brooke Robertson of Lakeland. Cabell won the event in 12.71. Cabell also won the 200m in 25.41.

Reigna Pierce, senior from Racine Horlick, won the long jump [17' 01.25] and the triple jump 36' 02.75.
