Edgar Sets Records In 4x1, 4x2, And 4x4. Fennimore Wins 4x8
|

Edgar scored 114 points to win the 2010 D3 State Team Championship in Track and Field. The Wildcats won three out of the four relays and in the process set State D3 Records in those relays.
Edgar's 4x1 Champions posted a 49.90 in finals but set the State D3 Record 49.36 in the preliminaries. Newman Catholic had set the old record in 2009 [50.44]. Edgar runners clockwise from top left:

Edgar's 4x4 ran a 3:58.43 in the prelminaries to break Rosholt's 2005 record of 4:00.41. In the finals Edgar posted a 4:01.80.

East Troy, Milwaukee Lutheran, And Platteville Win D2 Relays

Milwaukee Lutheran scored 40 points in D2 to finish second behind 2010 Champion Green Bay Notre Dame who scored 45 points. The Red Knights from Milwaukee won the 4x1 and 4x2 relays. The 4x1 team is pictured above in the finals as Charese Hampton gives the baton to anchor Raynna Thompson. Waukesha Catholic Memorial finished second while Somerset [Black jerseys] finished fourth in the 4x1.

Milwaukee Lutheran 4x1 team members [on the right, clockwise from top left] were: Chelsea Jordan, Raynna Thompson, Charese Hampton, and Alexandria Schad.
In the 2009 preliminaries Milwaukee Lutheran set the 4x2 record with a time of 1:43,22. In the 2010 preliminaries the Red Knights broke their own record with a 1:42.86 clocking. The record setting 4x2 team members were:

The Trojans from East Troy won the D2 4x4 with a time of 3:58.52 finishing ahead of Kiel who posted a 3:59.60. East Troy team members were [Clockwise from above left]:

Platteville won the D2 4x8 by posting a 9:32.49. Green Bay Notre Dame was second [9:37.83] with Freedom finishing third in (9:39.31].

In the finals of the 4x1 pictured above anchors [L-R] Heather Bong [Arrowhead], Danielle Barbian [Hamilton], Dezerea Bryant [Milwaukee Bradley Technical], and Hannah Rhode [Waukesha West] head into the straightaway.
Bradley Technical won barely by edging out Sussex Hamilton [47.95 to 48.04]. Arrowhead was third while Waukesha West finished fourth.

In the 4x4 preliminaries the Milwaukee Bradley Technical quartet [Above L-R] of Elexis Fuller-Stewart, Tahje Whittley, Dinah Watts, and Tiffany Matthews set a new D1 and All-Division record by blazing to a time of 3:53.64. This broke Milwaukee North's record of 3:55.19 set in 1980.
