Belmont High School has only 86 students and is one of the smallest of the schools in D3. Nevertheless the tradition of track and field lives on at Belmont. Both boys' and girls' teams have only four members each. However the girls team of 4 won a quad-meet, placed second at another multi-team meet, and on Friday, April 29th at River Ridge scored an amazing 99 points, bringing home 13 medals total; including 4 golds for the 4 x 200 relay (7 - 1st place medals, 2 - 2nd place medals, and 1- 3rd place medal) at the ten team Timberwolves Invite.

The 'team' of 4 girls is able to work together on the relay and pull their own weight in their individual events. In addition the team has made an impression of the D3 Honor Roll lists. Note-Jordyn Kamps and Kailee Kamps are cousins.

The old Belmont SP record was held by Rachel Hamilton and set in 1984 with a toss of 42' 11". Hamilton had also held the old discus record. Kamps is the defending D3 discus champion.
