Rufus King scored 138 points to win the Milwaukee Public Schools Indoor Meet. Bradley Technical, Riverside, and Vincent folllowed in places 2-4. Milwaukee Public Schools offering track and field:

Defending State Champion and All-Division Record Holder Milwaukee Bradley Technical senior Dezerea Bryant rocketed to a win in the 55m dash. She is pictured above as she and Riverside dash star Demetra Camble exchange congratulations after the finals of the 55m dash.

Bryant is pictured right in the finals where she recorded a 6.99. Below: Bryant explodes out the blocks in her semi-final heat of the 55m dash which she won in 6.95. Last week at the Lake Michigan Invitational at Carthage College Bryant posted a 6.85 in the 55m dash.


Tahje Whittley a senior from Bradley Technical [#3] is pictured above in her semi-final heat of the 55m dash. she recorded a 7.29 in the semi's and placed 2nd in the finals [7.30].

In the 400m dash Riverside University sophomore Crystal Malone and Bradley Technical senior Tahje Whittley both set a blistering pace on the unforgiving rubberized floor at Milwaukee South's Field House. Whittley held on to win in 1:00.93 while Malone was second in 1:01.38 .
