Molly Seidel [left] is a junior at University Lake High School. She set the D3 3200m record in the 2010 State Meet by posting a time of 10:39.88. Also as a ninth grader and as a sophomore she won the D3 1600m and 3200m races.

2009: 1st-1600m 5:02.52, 1st-3200m 10:49.98

2010: 1st-1600m 5:06.39, 1st-3200m 10:39.88.

On June 12, 2010, at the Distance Gala held at Benedictine University [IL] Seidel posted a winning time of 4:52.63 in the Mile Run [4:51.06 1600m equivalent]. Seidel also was the WIAA D3 State Cross Country Champion in 2008, 2009 and 2010 posting the best time in all three classes in 2009 and 2010.


All but three of the 17 D3 1600m qualifiers for the 1600m at the 2010 State Meet return. Junior Molly Seidel [#4] won the 2010 1600m D3 race in 5:06.39. Sarah McMahon [#2, Colfax senior] was second in 5:10.47, followed by Annette Lemanski [#7, Florence senior], Wailea Zuelch [#3, North Crwford senior], Also shown above are Katja Rowell [#4, Brookwod], and Kayla Sheckles [#5, Fennimore senior]. #9 is graduated senior Carli Kronstedt from Pittsville who finished 5th.




At the Midwest Cross Country Invitational hosted by Janesville Craig on Saturday, September 25, Seidel [above and below] ran against mostly D1 and D2 schools. She tied the course record in winning the Midwest Invitational. The Mile Split website featured Seidel in October of 2010.





University Lake High School is surrounded by a beautiful wooded area. The campus includes separate buildings for the secondary, middle and primary students as well as a fine arts building and a separate building housing a gym. Athletes have access to the gyms at the primary school, the fine arts center as well as the physical education area.

The athletes stretched in the library prior to going to the Fine Arts Building which has one of the three gyms at ULS. Seidel is pictured leading the exercises..


Coach Borkowski gives each athlete an outline of expectations and workouts. He is the only coach for all events. The highlighted area above is the Spring Break part of the workout schedule.
