In 1991 North Crawford runner Heather Murphy set the D3 1600m record [5:01.31]. University Lake School junior Molly Seidel [left] picked up the pace early and left no doubt about her intentions. Seidel posted a 4:51.54 to set a new D3 1600m run record.
Colfax senior Sarah McMahon [above center] finished in 2nd in 5:07.20. McMahon also finished 3rd in the 3200m run
Spring Valley sophomore Breana Colbenson [above right] was third in 5:11.57. Colbenson also finished 2nd in the 3200m run

Andrea Ostenso [#4] a sophomore from Ladysmith won the D2 1600m title for 2011. The defending 2010 1600m D2 Champion Allie Woodward a senior from Green Bay Notre Dame and Ostenso staged a spirited duel during very warm conditions. Ostenso edged out Woodward at the finish line posting a 4:54.20 to Woodward's 4:54.25.

In 2008 Ashley Beutler from Belleville-New Glarus set the D2 3200m record by running to a time of 10:33.43. The 'All-Division' State Record was set in 1985 by Sauk Prairie runner Lori Wolter [10:15.40]. On a very hot day Woodward raced to a 10:11.48 performance which wrote her name into the State Record Books for both the D2 and the All-Division records.
