Milwaukee Trechnical senior Dezerea Bryant has shown no sign of letting up in her quest to push the boundaries of the dash event. The W/TFA 55m dash record of 6.8 was jointly held by Ester Jones [Milwaukee Bay View, 1987] and Dana Collins [Milwaukee Marshall, 1991-92]. Bryant closed on the record with times of 6.81 in the preliminaries and semi-finals.
However in the finals Bryant brought the crowd to their feet as she wrote her name into the record books with a time of 6.76. This is the fastest 55m time in the USA this year.
