Amery hosted a 10 team invitational of D2 and D3 teams. The meet was won by D2 Somerset followed by D2 Saint Croix Central and D3 Spring Valley. John Reed's photographs give a few of the highlights of the 2012 Amery Invitational.

Breanna Colbenson [Below right], a distance runner from Spring Valley dominated the meet with a rare three-peat! Winning the 800m in 2:21.37, the 1600m in 5:09.31 and finally running away with the 3200m title with a time of 11:41.25 .

Colbenson finished 3rd in the 1600m and 2nd in the 3200m in D3 at the 2011 State Meet. Both of those races were won by Molly Seidel.

Amery sophomore Nicole Young [below left] out distanced the pack in the 400m dash crossing the finish line in 1:01.24.

The Amery girls 4 x 200 team anchor Sophie Montana is pictured on the right.


The Amery girls 4 x 200 team registered a 1:51.54 with sophomore anchor Sophie Montana taking the baton from freshman sprinter Janelle Moore. Senior Marie Wothe and sophomore Ashley Doroff round out Amery's 4x1 team.

At Amery Henry won the HJ [5' 00], was 2nd in the 100m, 2nd in the 400m and finished the night placing 6th in the 200m dash event.
