Kaukauna graduate Christy Cazzola is a National D3 Champion in Track and Field and Cross Country

UW-Oshkosh senior Christy Cazzola from Kaukauna continued her running successes for the Titans by being named National Female Athlete of the Year for the 2012 season by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Cazzola finished in the top 4 in the NCAA D3 Cross Country National Championships each of the last 3 years. At the 2012 D3 National Championships Cazzola finished first with a time of 20.53.3 over the 6,000m course at Terre Haute, IN.

Prior to the NCAA Championships Cazzola was the WIAC Champion in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic 2012 Conference Cross Country Meet held at UW-Platteville.

During the 2012 outdoor track and field season Cazzola was the WIAC Champion in the 800m and 1600m races.

At the D3 2012 Outdoor National Championships held at Grinnel, IA, Cazzola won the 800m and 1 mile run races to help the Titans to a second place finish in the D3 NCAA National Meet.
