Jamie (Rebella) Ligon

Rebella competed at Merrill High School [1998-2001]. Her coach was Greg Eichelkraut and Ira Rebella.

Rebella set set a total of 37 school, field house, and facility track and field records during her high school career. She won the State Meet LJ title her freshman year then won the TJ State Title her next three years. Her TJ 'PR' of 39' 3.25 is on the Top 50 TJ list at #4.

Rebella competed at the Unviersity of Tennessee where she switched from the horizontal jumps to the PV. She had an indoor best of 11' 6 in the PV.

Margaret (Davis) McDonnell

Davis competed at Brookwood High School [1977-81]. Her coach was Bill Henderson.

She set D3 State Records in the 1600m and 3200m in 1980 and 1981.

Davis is on the Top 50 list in the 3200m event.

She competed at Iowa State and was a five time All-American in cross country and track and was a member of the AIAW Division 1 National Cross Country Team.


Avrie (Walters) Duffy

Avrie competed at La Crosse Logan High School [1990-94]. Her coach was Tom Kammer.

She won 4 straight 1600m indoor titles at the WTFA Meet. From 1991-93 she won three straight 1600m titles in D1 at the WIAA State Meet. She was also a four time runnerup in the 800m at the WIAA State Meet.

During her career competing in the 1600m, 3200m 800m, and 4x400 at the State Meet she scored a total of 96 points. She is on the Top 50 lists in the 800, and 1600.

Avrie competed at UW-Madison for the Badgers where she was a member of the two time Big Ten Champion Distance Medley Relay and earned All-American status in 1998.

2011 WISTCA Athletes of the Year

Russell Sandvold [senior at Arrowhead] and Dezerea Bryant [graduate of Milwaukee Bradley Technical] were recognized as 2011 Athletes of the Year.

Sandvold was the 2011 D1 1600m Champion and finished 2nd in the 800m run and was a member of Arrowhead's 2nd place 4x8.

Bryant established All-Division records in the 100m and 200m dash events at the 2011 State Meet. She was also a member of the record setting Bradley Technical 4x1 relay team.

Tom Burger

Tom competed at Milwaukee Lutheran High School [1988-91]. His coach was Eric Pankow.He set a WISSA State Meet record in the HH in 1990. He was WISTCA Male Athlete of the Year in 1991. Tom competed at UW-Madison and was a member of their Big Ten Champion teams in 1995 and 1996.

Steve Marcelle

Steve competed at Green Bay Preble High School [2001-2005]. Steve's coach was Pat Prochow. He set a conference record of 61' 2 in the SP. He won the WIAA D1 SP titles in 2004 and 2005 with a State Record throw of 67' 6. He was a WISTCA Male Athlete of the Year winner. He competed at Georgia Tech where he set school records in the indoor and outdoor SP. Marcelle was a five time champion in the ACC SP and three-time All-American.

Bryan Schultz

Bryan competed at Waukesha North High School [1986-89] where he was coached by Geoff Steinbach. He won four state titles and was named WISTCA Male Athlete of the Year in 1989. Bryan competed at Stanford University on a football scholarship where he was a member of the football and track teams.

Longtime Milwaukee Bradley Technical coach Ken Williams [1981-2011] was a Hall of Fame inductee. William's girls teams at Tech have won the last three State Titles. He coached track and field at Tech for 30 years and girls basketball at that school for 28 years. His Boys team won the State Title in 1995.

Richard 'Rick' Rapp who coached at Cambridge High School [1974-1993] was a Hall of Fame inductee. His 1987 team won the State Title and the team fiinished second at the State Meet in 1978, 1983, 1984, and 1988.
