Early Season Look: All-Division Shot Put Leaders 
Algoma sophomore Kennedy Blahnik [above] is the defending D3 SP Champion. In her first year at La Crosse she set a State Record in the D3 Shot Put with a distance of 47' 00.25. At the UW-Oshkosh Small Schools Meet on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, she won the SP event with a throw of 45' 10.50.
D3 Belmont senior Kailee Kamps [left] is headed to the University of Minnesota on a track and field scholarship. She had a SP throw of 43' 03.50 at the Belmont Quadrangular on Tuesday, March 27. At the 2011 State Meet she finished in second int he D3 SP [ 40' 07.50].
Kamps sister Keegan [above on the left] is a ninth grader who will give the Belmont team a potent 1-2 punch in the throws during the 2012 season. [Picture above by D Kamps].
Stanford University recruit Shavana Talbert a senior from D1 Fond du Lac placed 5th in the SP [40' 02.50] in D1 at the 2011 State Meet.
At the UW-Oshkosh Large Schools Meet on Monday, March 26, she won the event with a throw of 41' 02.50.
Jamie Clark [left] a senior from D1 Shawano Community HS threw 41' 01.50 at the Antigo Quadrangular on Monday, March 26. At the State Meet in 2011 she won the D1 Silver Medal with a toss of 41' 10.50.
Lydia Pomeroy a senior from D3 Hilbert had a throw of 40' 03 at the Spartan Invite [Oshkosh North] held at UW-Oshkosh. At the 2011 State Meet she placed 11th in D3 [35' 01].
At the 2011 State Meet D1 DC Everest junior Paige Day [right] medaled by placing 6th in the D1 SP [40' 00.50]. Day has been over 39' [ Point Invite, USA TF Indoor]
Alyssa Lueck a senior from D2 Big Foot and a North Dakota University recruit placed 7th in the D2 Shot Put at 2011 State Meet. At the Nelson Daniels Small School Meet, Friday, March 16, she won the event with a distance of 39' 08.75.
