Early Bird Invitational At Mauston 
The Golden Eagles from Mauston hosted Adams-Friendship, Edgar, Granton, Medford Area, Necedah, Nekoosa, New Lisbon, Wisconsin Dells, Wautoma, and Westfield-Montello in the 'Early Bird' Meet. Mauston won the meet followed by Edgar, Nekoosa,Medford Area, and Wisconsin Dells. Edgar, Granton, Medford Area, and Nekoosa which have been hampered by snow cover escaped south to participate in the meet held under clear skies and temperatures around 50 degrees.

Senior Elizabeth Pospyhalla [above left in the 400m, 1:01.32] ] from Edgar had a big night at the Early Bird. The defending WIAA D3 champion in the 400m and 800m events won her specialties at the Early Bird. She also won the HJ. Junior Paige Peschel [above right in the 1600m] from Westfield-Montello won the 1600m and 3200m run events.
