From drills that broke down the body position, arm position, and footwork the athletes progressed to complete throws.
SP spin move practice. The athletes had two SP stations and two discus stations insuring small group coaching.
With the track and field season less than a month away the athletes at the Madison Throws Club were well on their way to learning and practicing the skills necessary to excel in the throws.
Discus sequence. The throwers threw into a net which enabled them to go full speed on the discus throw motion.
After an orientation the athletes got to work with warmups followed by a series of drills in small groups where each athlete got loads of feedback after each drill or throw.
Each athlete was given immediate feedback and the number of repetitions gave the athlete the practice needed to master the craft of becoming a thrower.
