2013 WIAA TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS: 800m, 1600m And 3200m Running Events

In the 2012 season Lakeland Union's Delaney FitzPatrick [left] competed in D1. She was the 2012 D1 1600m Champion. This season she repeated but in D2 where she won the 1600m race in 5:02.17.

D1 800m winner Talia Spiegelberg a junior at Wisconsin Lutheran ran in heat 1 of 2 and posted a Gold Medal time of 2:15.27.

Senior Rachel Atchison [#1] from team champion East Troy is pictured in the 800m run which she won in 2:14.33. Another senior Bridget Murphy [#3] from Seymour was one second behind as she won the Silver Medal in the 800m race.
3200m winner Breanna Colbenson [left] of Spring Valley was seeded 11th [12:03.37] but posted a 10:56.24 to win the D3 Gold Medal. In 2012 Colbenson won the Silver Medal in both the 1600m and 3200m races. Spring weather greatly hampered runners in the northern part of Wisconsin this season.
