Not only did Peer win the 400m long dash but she set a new record by recording a 57.10. This broke the old record of 58.67 set by Brianna Dunkleberger [Lake Mills, 2011].

Milwaukee King won the meet in which 49 teams scored points. King had 65 points, followed by Milwaukee Riverside [35], Neenah [34], Wisconsin Lutheran [29], East Troy [22], Kenosha Tremper [22], Waukesha South 20, and Sun Prairie [18].


Similar to the 800m race the 1600m was a close race with an exciting finish. Marquette recruit Alison Parker [left] edged out University Lake School's Isabel Seidel. Parker was timed in 5:03.29 while Seidel was 1/2 second back at 5:03.79. The above photo shows the front of the heat 7 1600m pack with two laps to go on the Kachel Field House 200m track.

The 800m run turned into a dash on the last lap as a group of runners turned the event into a highlight race. Talia Spiegelberg [Far left, Wisconsin Lutheran] caught Freedom's Liz Bloy at the finish for a razor thin win. Spiegelberg was timed in 2:19.23 while Bloy recorded a 2:19.61.
