Twelve Year Drought Of Home Meets Ends At Union Grove 
D3 Catholic Central and Racine Lutheran, D2 Kenosha Christian Life, Racine Saint Catherine, Shoreland Lutheran, and University School of Milwaukee, and D1 Burlington, Greendale and host Union Grove competed at the Union Grove Boys and Girls Varsity Invitational.
Shoreland Lutheran won the team title with 128 points followed by Burlington [110 points], host Union Grove [101 points], and Greendale [86 points].
Union Grove's last home varsity meet was twelve years ago. However excellent community support has resulted in an outstanding athletic facility. A nine lane track, separate areas for the horizontal and vertical jumps, an artificial football field, and a stadium setup with great sight lines of the track has made Union Grove an ideal facility for a track and field meet.

Cassy Goodrich a senior who is headed to Marquette University on a track and field scholarship won the 100m [12.66] and 200m [25.71, 2nd in the D1 HR as of 4/22] events. Goodrich who led the HR in the 400m long dash as of Tuesday, April 22, is shown above center in the 100m dash event.

The Burlington Catholic Central 4x2 moved to the #2 spot on the D3 4x2 HR with a winning time of 1:52.44. The Hilltoppers above also won the 4x1 relay in 53.84.
