Division 2 4x4 Record Of 3:58.13 Set By Columbus High School In 2004

The quartet of Emily Raymonds, Christie Jahnke, Danielle Miller, and Heather Miller posted a 3:58.13 in the finals at the 2004 State Meet to set the D2 4x4 State Record.
The old record had been set the year before by the Kiel 4x4 [3:58.94] consisting of Jess Scott, Caitlin Schetter, Heidi Heberlein, and Becky Kempfert. The same 4 Kiel runners returned for 2004 and finished 2nd to the record setting Cardinal 4x4 from Columbus.
The Columbus 4x4 helped the Cardinals to a State Championship. Kiel finished second to Columbus at the 2004 State Meet.

The 64 points scored by Columbus [Coach Marlin Hensler] in 2004 tied the previous record for points by a D2 team. Prairie du Chien [Coach Elizabeth Mullarkey] also scored 64 points in 1976 in winning a D2 team championship.
