Whitefish Bay junior Cami Davre not only won the 800m Emerging Elite race at the New Balance Indoor Nationals she set a record.
Davre was only .01 seconds off of the time she ran in the D1 800m race at the 2015 WIAA State Meet. Her time of 2:09.22 at La Crosse broke a long standing 800m record set by Suzy Favor at the 1985 State Meet.
Davre crossed the finish line at the Armory Track in New York posting a time of 2:09.23. This broke the old record of 2:11.93 set in the 2014 New Balance Meet by North Carolina runner Malia Ellington.

Beauchem was on the Team Canada Track and Field Team that competed at the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships in Cali, Colombia, July 15 to 19, 2015.
Davre broke the record of 2:11.93 which was set in 2014 by Malia Ellington from Community School of Davidson North Carolina. The 800m race was run on Friday. On Sunday, Davre posted a 4:48.54 time in the mile [a 4:46.88 1600m time] running in Heat 2 of 3 of the Girls Championship mile event.
Ellington was a State Cross Country Champion in North Carolina. Ellington now is on the Cross Country and Track team at Harvard University.
