Junior Camillle Davre [above left] from Whitefish Bay won the 1600m race for the third straight year. She won the Gold Medal by posting a 4:46.40 and holding off Middleton's Samantha Valentine [#2, 4:46.87, Silver Medal] and Eau Claire Memorial's Aubrey Roberts [#1, 4:47.66, Bronze Medal].

D3 3200m Run

3200m Run

Eau Claire Memorial senior Aubrey Roberts [above and left] raced to a 10:13.68 performance in the 3200m run to break the record of 10:15.40 set by Sauk Prairie's Lori Walter in 1985.




Aubrey Roberts left no doubt as to her intentions as she raced out to an early lead and kept up a blistering pace on a very warm day. Roberts increased her lead with each lap. The above photo is after lap 1. After the race Roberts 'ran' back to Eau Claire to attend her graduation at Memorial High School before returning for the D1 1600m race which was held on Saturday morning.

Right: The race to the finish line was tight with Camille Davre [left, 2:11.13], Middleton's Samantha Valentine [2:12.15, 2nd place] and Waukesha West's Emma Langer who finished 3rd in 2:12.24. Davre won her third straight D1 Gold in the 800m.


Marcia Taddy set the D2 800m run record of 2:12.20 in 2002. Two runners broke that mark as senior Sydney Currie [#2 on the left] posted a 2:11.80 and Wisconsin Lutherans Audrey Janik [#1 on the left] was timed in 2:11.92.

Both runners are shown above left with third place finisher Aneesa Tucker [2:13.16] from Ashland. Above right 800m runners Hailey Van Ells [#6, Martin Luther, 6th], Calli Linse [#7, Jefferson, 5th], and Jillian Weston [Viroqua, 7th].

D2 3200m Run

Amery's Alicia Monson [#4] made an amazing recovery from an early season basketball injury and returned to La Crosse to successfully defend the 3200m championsip she won in 2015. Monson posted a 10:40.10 to win the Gold Medal.

Run
