2017 Badger South Conference Meet

Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Monona Grove HS. Results


Edgewood, Fort Atkinson, Milton, host Monona Grove, Monroe,m Oregon, and Stoughton competed at Monona Grove in the Badger South Conferenc Meet.

The Vikings from Stoughton outpointed Oregon 170 to 156 to win the meet. Monroe and Monona Grove finished 3-4.

New Conference Records were set in the 100m dash, 800m run, 100m HH, 300m LH, the 4x400m relay, and the TJ..

Anna Monson [Stoughton, 2002] and Gabby Beauvais [MG, 2015] had held the 100m record [12.25] but Ali Dorn a Monona Grove sophomore broke that in the prelims with a clocking of 12.16. Dorn then recorded a 12.15 in the finals to establish a new record.

Edgewood junior Caitlin Link posted a 2:18.04 in the 800m to break the old record of 2:19.01 set by Valerie Jones of Oregon in 2014.

Both hurdle events saw new records with Alexis Jackson [Oregon] racing to a 14.45 breaking the old record of 15.40 set by Marianne Junck of Edgewood in 2002. Jordan Hirsbrunner from Monroe the All-Division #1 in the 300m LH recorded a 43.86 to break the 2016 record of 45.42 set by Hirsbrunner and Alexis Jackson.

The Monona Grove 4x4 relay team of Ellie Trulson, Carson Weber, Payton Jebks-Recker, and anchor Ali Dorn broke Monroe's old record 4:04.10 set in 2016 with a time of 4:01.79.

In the field events Mya Lonnebotn from Stoughton triple jumped 36' 06 to break the old record of 36' 02 jointly held by Erica Schoeller [Edgewood, 2002] and Briana Bower [Stoughton, 2009].
