The Oregon Panther 4x2 won the Gold Medal and established a Top 50 All-Time performance at the 2016 WIAA State Meet

Oregon runners above L-R: Danica Keisling , Beloit Memorial's Nadiyah Connor, Kenosha Bradford's Madison Marko, and Panther anchor Scarlet Eqwuonwu. Marko anchored the 2015 Bradford 4x2 to a Gold Medal.



Alexis Jackson [above left] won the 2016 Gold Medal in the 300m LH at the 2016 WIAA State Meet. Returning hurdlers Milwaukee Rufus King's Siarah Jones and Beloit Memorial's Adela Diaz finished in a close 2nd and 3rd finish.

Day 3 Of The 2017 Preseason

Prior to breaking up into sprint, jumps, throws, middle distance, and distance groups the athletes warmed up in the Oregon field house.


Distance Athletes

Head Girls Cross Country coach Doug Debroux [top, 2nd from left] and head Boys Cross Country coach Erik Haakenson [top left] led the distance athletes in their workout. Coach Debroiux has coached for 33 years and has a series of bulletin boards that promote the history of Oregon running and the achievements of present and past Oregon runners.



The track and field coaches, many of whom are volunteers, insure that the atlhetes get proper feedback and coaching. Coaches above L-R: Stephanie Lovell [sprinters], Kathy Mentick [hurdles], Dan Kissling [sprinters and weight room], and Andrew Bliefernecht [sprinters].

The middle distance athletes went outside for hill running. They were led by coach Travis Koch [row 1 left]



Athletes working on their starts received immediate feedback. Coach Brian Vasey [white hat] keeps statistics and video records of the athletes. Head coach Nathaniel Lease is shown using Vasey's videos to review sprint form. Lease is also the head boys wrestling coach at Oregon.



Individual skiill groups included sprinter starts and running form, Shot Put fundamentals, and weight room lifts.
