D2 and D3 schools from Belleville-New Glarus, Boscobel, Darlington, DeSoto, Fennimore, Lancaster, Monroe, Mount. Horeb, Pecatonica, Platteville, Prairie du Chien, North Crawford, and River Valley cpmpeted at Williams Field House on the campus of UW-Platteville. Head UW-Platteville Coach Chris Rotzenberg and his staff and team got a busy week off to a start by hosting the Pioneer High School Meet. No team scores were kept.



Rebecca Spencer [North Crawford] - 4x2 relay.


Two of the top hurdlers in D2 and D3 competed at the Pioneer Meet. Monroe's Jordan Hirsbrunner the defending D2 300m LH Champion won the 55m HH event in 8.91. Benton-Scales Mound-Shullsburg hurdler Emma Lawrence [no tracks at any of those schools-strickly parking lot practice] who won the Silver Medal int he 300m LH at the 2016 WIAA State Meet posted the fastest D3 time in the 55m HH [as of March 21] by finishing 2nd in 9.20.
